The Role

We are seeking a Senior QA Lead to be the primary quality assurance champion within the Pune office. This hands-on role involves defining and establishing robust manual testing processes for key IMPACT management and integration applications. You will lead a small, high-performing team and serve as the main quality liaison between the Pune development team and our international colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  1. QA Strategy & Process Ownership
  • Process Establishment: Define, implement, and maintain the overall manual QA strategy, structured processes, and standards for the IMPACT software suite.
  • Tooling & Metrics: Utilize test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps) to log, track, and verify resolution of defects. Define and communicate key quality metrics to stakeholders.
  • Agile Integration: Actively participate in planning meetings (Scrum/Agile) and provide the authoritative quality perspective, risks, and progress updates to the Product Lead.
  1. Technical Software Quality Assurance
  • Hands-on Testing: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive Test Plans and Test Cases for core IMPACT applications, including:
    • IMPACT Resource Manager
    • IMPACT Project Manager
    • IMPACT GO
  • Focus Areas: Conduct rigorous functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Emphasis must be placed on validating the technical accuracy, calculation logic, and data integrity of the engineering applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Development team (both in Pune and Sweden) to reproduce bugs efficiently and ensure timely verification of fixes.
  1. Team Leadership and Management
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a small team of Quality Analysts primarily focused on IMPACT Revit and IMPACT CAD integrations.
  • Workload Management: Assign tasks, manage workflows, and ensure the team adheres to best QA practices, process structure, and project timelines.
  • Mentorship: Conduct performance reviews, support professional development, and encourage team members to explore different ways and methods to test the software.
  • Cross-Cultural Communication: Serve as the main quality liaison, ensuring seamless and effective communication regarding quality status and technical issues with our Swedish colleagues.

Experience

Minimum 5 years in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a Team Leadership or Senior QA role.

Education & Certification

Graduation in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline). Relevant QA Certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Level) are highly desirable.

Technical Skills

Proven experience in testing complex, enterprise-level applications. Expertise with formal test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps).

Leadership & Communication

Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills are non-negotiable. Must be proficient in managing teams and interacting effectively with international colleagues.

  • Strong proficiency in C++, with fair knowledge of the language specification.
